To All Good People and the rest of you losers......

It is with great joy and anticipation (and much fear) that I extend an open offer to join us in the 12th annual-biannual St Pete Beach Crawl.

The festivities will go underway at the Postcard Inn (used to be called Swigwam), located at 6300 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach. Tradition dictates opening with a rum-runner and a 151 float, a modicum of food in your belly is recommended.

Commencement will begin around 1:30-ish in the pm. (note, traffic is a real bitch, do the right thing and launch your ass from the homestead earlier than the norm.)

From there, we will proceed southward and offer money or credit to every establishment on the beach in exchange for sustenance in a purely liquid form.

All are encouraged to extend this invitation to friends, family, ex-girlfriends. For those of you with enforceable commitments to grill hotdogs with the in-laws, do not fret, we'll see you at next year's Memorial Day Weekend Beach Crawl.

*If you think it's a good idea to start drinking earlier than the 1:30 kickoff or if you're looking for a place to suck down a few more drinks after the crawl, head over to the Swigwam's new address at 336 Corey Ave (across from the theater). Lots of free parking out back since the library is closed Sunday/Monday. The same staff that always treated us most awesomely will be happy to sling some drinks your way.

It will cost $10 to park, but you will receive a $10 drink voucher, conveniently cashable at the Swigwam Bar. Holy Jeebus. Friggin' huge turnout on Sunday. Thank you VERY much for showing up. My very unscientific headcount, hindered of course by booze, had a tally of 215. Amazing.
